What is a BadgePlan?

A complete, ready-to-run merit badge session — the requirements are already chosen, the activities are already built. Just gather your Scouts and go.

A BadgePlan is the most efficient path through a merit badge — planned once by us, run as many times as you like by you.

No blank page. No hunting through requirement PDFs. No guessing which activity actually teaches the material.

How It's Built

Pre-selected Requirements: When a badge lets Scouts “choose 2 of 4,” we've already picked the combination that covers the most ground in the least time. No decision paralysis mid-meeting.
Pre-made Activities: Every requirement is paired with a hands-on activity built to teach it — card sorts, races, builds, and challenges, and minimal use of worksheets.
Station Ready: Everything is broken into 15–20 minute stations, making it flexible to run multiple stations at a troop meeting.

How to Run a BadgePlan Meeting

There are 2 main ways to run a BadgePlan Meeting:

Station-Based: Recruit a few parent volunteers. Each one runs a single station on repeat. Scouts rotate through in small groups of five — everyone's engaged, nobody's idle, and no one volunteer has to learn the whole badge. We provide everything a parent volunteer needs to run a single station.
Solo Counselor: Running it yourself? Walk the same stations in series, one after another. Same materials, same pacing — just one counselor instead of five.

Same plan, same materials — pick the format that fits your meeting.

It's a resource, not a rulebook.

Don't love a requirement we picked? Swap it. Want to skip a station or run your own activity instead? Go for it. A BadgePlan is a fully-loaded starting point, not a mandate — take what's useful, adapt the rest, and make it yours.

What about requirements that take weeks?

Some requirements — a personal fitness log, tracking chores, a real-world visit — just can't be finished in a 15–20 minute station, no matter how good the activity is. For those, every BadgePlan sets aside a dedicated Self-Study Station.

Each self-study station provides the scout with:

Ready-made tracking sheet: Formatted for that exact requirement, so a Scout just fills it in as they go.
Resource guide: Tips, tools, and go-to resources for tackling the requirement solo, so a Scout isn't stuck figuring it out alone.
